"Hi! I’m Mark Westling with All Brands Copiers Laser Printers and Fax, here to talk to you today about fax machines on behalf of expertvillage.com. We’re going to talk a little bit about the brands and types of fax machines that are on the market today. Generally there are many, many different brands but when we talk about fax machines in the business we talk more about the media they use to make the print than really the brands, almost all brands use many different medias, so when you’re talking to a technician or someone in the field they want to know what is the media that we use to make the actual print. Some of the older machines actually used a roll of coded paper that was electrically sensitive as the fax was transmitted it was made into electrical pulses and put through the paper and the paper actually turned dark where the electrical pulses hit, that was also the type of technology when we went to the film type machines like this one here but nowadays most of the machines either use a laser cartridge including or possibly separately a drum or inkjets which the machine actually squirts ink on the page where it needs to be in order to make the copy."
