"Hi, my name is Richard Buccola of Starlite Karaoke here in New York City and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to show you how to start and run a successful karaoke business. I'm going to talk about microphones. Cool thing in my show and definitely get this if you can, a lot of people like a mic stand. I know it sounds kind of funny, but some people get that rock star feel when they get behind the mic. It also gives them a little bit of security I guess, so get a mic stand that's a cool thing to have. I find that the mics that have cords on them are going to be better than your cordless mics. Only because cordless mics are going to defer with stuff, but I do use cordless mics when 3 or 4 people get up there and that's going to happen in a karaoke show. 3 and 4 people might want to get up to be brave and you have your friend help you, by all means get them up do whatever you can to get everyone in and everyone up. So again talking about my mics I have a cord mic for my main one. I use 2 cordless mics for when other people should get up there when it's 2 or 3 people singing and I use a goose neck mic just so I always have control, so if all my microphones are out I know I could always grab a mic if I need to be in control up and down sounds of the microphone."
