"Hi, my name is Richard Buccola of Starlite Karaoke here in New York City and on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to show you how to start and run a successful karaoke business. I'm going to show you the equipment that I use. Particularly I'm going to go over each detail of each piece that I use. I'm also going to show you how to market and advertise your business and then I will tell you how to maintain your equipment which is very important so you can get many years of good use. Then I'm also going to show you how to have a unique business and add flare to your show. But besides that I just want to talk right now a little bit about karaoke in case you haven't been on the planet for the last 20 years. Karaoke is great way to have parties, to have fun and it involves people singing like rock stars, it gets their chance to be in the line light and while they sing to the music of their favorite song the words will actually come up on a monitor something like this. Karaoke was actually invented by the Japanese, but I really think it goes back further than that so when the 30s and 40s in the movie theaters they use to have the sing along in between movies where you would see the bouncing ball go over each word and you would sing to it. So when I get back we'll talk more about karaoke."
