"Hi this is Aaron Fruitstone from Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores. You can reach us on the web at www.chimartialarts.com. The next technique that you guys will be learning in advanced Tae Kwon Do is a jab reverse punch, evading mid-air back kick. This technique combination is intended for medium range attacks, long enough that you can extend your arms, but too short for full length kicking. Your opponent is probably going to be holding their ground defending your strikes. You don’t necessarily want to hit them with the strikes with the hands; you’re setting them up for that foot attack. Again anytime you throw high strikes, the hands will come off to defend, you’re making the body available for striking. The reverse back kick as you jump away is intended for the midsection. You’re going to take your front hand-extend it, return it to its same position, rear hand-extend it, and return it. As you’re coming back, you’re going to leap slightly away, rotating and kicking with your front leg. At normal speed. One more time. And we’ll be back. "
