Difficulty: Easy

Step1
If the jump ring is soft enough, you can use your fingers to open and close it. If not, you will need to use pliers.
Step2
Hold the jump ring with your fingers (or pliers) on each side of the split.
Step3
Push one side away from you while you pull the opposite side toward you. This way the ends will go back together properly.
Step4
Add your charm and bend the wires back together the opposite way. You want to make the ends meet again.

on 5/27/2008 I have opened a jump ring wrong before & once you do that it’s all bent out of shape or it won’t go back together! Thank you for saving all those jump rings that would be destined for the trash due to not being opened the correct way! I love the added video! It adds a visual to the very useful info!
