How To Do Just About Everything
If you are like me, after a long winter I can hardly wait until it is warm enough to get the yard in shape for summer. Along with mowing the lawn and weed whacking, one quick way to give your house immediate curb appeal is to edge your sidewalks and driveway. A gas powered edger is a time saving workhorse that is well worth the investment if you want to give your yard a do-it-yourself professional finish that will make your neighbors say, 'Wow!"
Gas Cap
Fill your tank with fuel. Refer to the owner's manual for the type of fuel to use in your edger. Our Craftsman uses the same gasoline as our automobile.
Blade Position
Position the blade on the grass at the edge of the cement keeping the wheel on the pavement. Lower the blade and walk a few steps forward and a few steps backwards to cut a channel into the sod as shown in the video above.
Sweep Clean
Finish by sweeping the edge with a broom to clear the channel of debris.
Done!
Done. Curb appeal up close.
