Sneak Peek at Austin Night Life: King of 6th St, Rock Fest & More

"I've been down here 19 years and then I came to 6th Street in 1980. Alright so here we are at Spill, my name is Jimmy I work the door here, I've been here for about 3 1/2 years. Every year during SXSW we have an alternative festival, it's called Texas Rock Fest. It's not officially part of SX, but it's an alternative festival, there are several venues involved. It's a 3 day festival, we have about 100 bands over a 3 day period, just with this particular venue. Some other venues that are involved are Nuno's, which is a couple blocks down the street, Treasure Island, Fuel, Pure will be involved this year, Vechie and the Warehouse Districts and I believe we're adding a couple of venues this year as well."
