"Another option you have when a house is vacant is to have it staged and what that means is you have a professional company that comes in and brings in furniture, and makes it look like it's been lived in and comfortable. Now I usually suggest that now with property that's over a million dollars or a higher end property because when it's vacant it's hard for some people to imagine what it would look like. Some people are very good at it but most of the people don't really have an idea so when you put in really nice furniture it looks homey and comfortable and lived in. Now of course that cost money now if you want to do it on your own that's okay too but again talk to your realitor because putting in old ratted furniture in the front of your house would actually be detrimental to selling your house. If your going to put in hip new furniture that's something else so really have to keep in touch with your realitor and again depends on your motivation. Do you want to sell it as is, as a vacant home, or do you want to make it more appealing to first time home buyers."
