"SONJIA CUHER: On behalf of Expert Village, this is Sonjia Cuher. Crime. It happens everywhere, everywhere you go. So you have to be very, very careful. Be alert all the time. Don't just leave - let's pretend you are at the restaurant and you leave your camera right on the table and you go the bathroom. By the time you get back, it's going to be gone. And that's why don't ever leave you valuables out of your sight. Passport, money, put it in a travel bag. Always inside your pants and just have it in your pocket or in any personal purse. This is more for appearance than anything, just couple of few dollars. If you're not going to do the purse or anything like that, when I travel, I don't carry my backpack in my back, actually it's a backpack, I know, but I always carry my backpack in the front and I have a hold on my backpack. Once in a hotel, I would check [INDISCERNIBLE] if the hotel has a place where I can leave my valuables; if not, you have to carry it all the time. Most of the hotels, they are not expensive ones, they wont be responsible for any of your valuables unless you are staying in a four- or five-star hotel, then you don't have a problem because you will have always a place where to leave things. Once again, you remember, carry your backpack. Petty thief, pretty calm, you are distracted looking at a building, looking at somebody. It's so frequent that somebody will bump in to you, attract your attention, you turn to your back and then somebody will grab the backpack and it's gone. Suggestions: If you have diamonds, gold rings, anything, leave them at home. That's a place where they're supposed to be. When you travel, if you want to wear something nice, do it but something simple, nothing expensive or you can always buy things there. So make sure that you don't ever leave your things unattended and always carry your documents inside your pants. Actually, I carry inside my panties so there is no way that anybody's going to get a hold of them."
