"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Tony Meredith and I'm Melanie LaPatin we are here at Dance Time Square in the heart of New York City to show you how to do your wedding dance. This would be called the invitation how to ask your partner to dance. To get onto the dance floor. So the first thing you want to do of course is extend your hand to the person that you really want to dance with and you grab them towards. You actually cuff the left hand into her right hand. Her right is your left hand. You then take your right hand and you place it on the shoulder blade on the back. Next you take her left arm, take her elbow on top of your. Relax her left hand gently on the shoulder and that is how you begin dance position. It is probably the most important and crucial parts of actually dancing together as a couple. Because basically you want to look natural, as natural as possible when you are dancing. You actually don't have to have lessons and one of the most important way of doing is your position or your top line."
