Series Summary

The bachelorette party is a direct female borrowing from the male bachelor party. Bachelor parties have become mythologized nights of revelry, strippers or prostitutes, copious amounts of alcohol, and excited male members of the bridal party. The bachelorette party is a younger, but oftentimes wilder, derivative for the bride-to-be and her closest friends. Bachelorette parties have become an industry, with companies specializing in sex toys, adult games, and party planning offering services to handle the hassle of planning and organizing a girls’ night out. Also called hen parties or hen night’s in the UK, the bachelorette party has become a staple cultural icon.

In this free video series, expert bachelorette party planner Pamela Jager teaches you how to decorate the perfect bachelorette party favor, a picture frame. You will learn how to take a picture, how to make copies of a photo, how to cut a square picture from a piece of paper, and more. You will also learn how to cut ribbon with scissors, how to use glue, how to cut apart a strand of beads, and how to add rhinestones to a picture frame. It is all here!

"PAMELA YAGER: You're watching Expert Village and I'm Pamela Yager, president of Bride's Night Out. I've had a lot of fun over the years planning bachelorette parties for women across the country and celebrities. I did Jessica Simpson's bachelorette party. I've done events for the Montel Show, VH1's "Ball Before the Chain." And now, with my party planning program, the Bride's Night Out party consultant program, I've been teaching people just like you to become party consultants with Bride's Night Out. If you want to find out more information, check out my web site at www.bridesnightout.com. And with Expert Village, I've been doing this great and fun bachelorette party series and I've had so much fun and we're just about to start a new project right now. This project is the bachelorette party frame. And what I like about this is it captures all the elements of the party so we're using all the colors of the party. Our party colors were pink and purple, and we have this beautiful little frame with all decorative elements that were parts of the invitations and parts of the decorations. We're going to get going with that right after this. See you soon."
