"PAMELA YAGER: Now, one of our items on our shopping list is the feather boa. And finding the right feather boa is really important and I'm going to give you some tips on how to choose a feather boa. First of all there are different types of feather boas. There are turkey feathers which this is a turkey feather boa and there are ostrich feathers, and marabou and there are different types. For our party boa, the turkey feathers is usually the best. I enjoy this. There are also different weights of feather boas they come in 40 gram, 65 gram, 120 gram and higher. The gram is the weight and if you have a higher gram weight then--this is 120. It's going to be a very thick and heavy and warm boa. So you'd want something that's a little something smaller you don't want a 120 gram. This is a giant one that fit around your neck and couch or something. And they're really, really big. There are also different colors of boas. I have a solid color white. They also come in a pastel colors, pink and light blue, and vivid colors, like dark blues and purples. And they also come in double colors and also tricolors. So you can get one for a-in Mardi Gras colors if you'd like purple, green and yellow, or maybe just in red and white. So they do have some different kinds and again, you want to coordinate the type of boa with your theme of your party. And the colors--so if you're going with party colors of purple and pink or even any other color. You can use a nice base color and then work around that, and add accessories with other colors. Also, boas come in usually the length of 6 feet. Now, we don't need 6 feet so we will be doing a smaller boa, but they usually come in 6 feet. That's good to know or it's good to ask how long your boa is before you buy it. Where you can get boas? Well online, party supplies stores, and costume stores. And those are some tips for picking out your party boa."
