"Hi my name is Sean Graham on behalf of Expert Village, sponsored by goturkey.com. In this segment I want to talk about game number one. Game number one is quite simple. I'm going to show you two games here, and then we can combine the games together which makes it more exciting. Each time, you've always got your class split up into teams. So you might have team one, team two, team three, or team four, team five. The first game, it's a simple game and everybody knows it. I've got a word on the board in dashes, like this, a five letter word. The children then have to tell you a letter. If, maybe, they say "b". If "b" is in the word, fine. You put the word in. If they say "t", and "t" is not in the word, then you start hangman. It's a game you know, hangman. You carry on with the game until either the children lose the hangman or they get the word. Each time a team gets a letter correct, you give them one point. If a team gets a whole word correct, you give them two points. The next game is called "x o". You put the x in the box, and the circle or "o" until you get a straight line. Now usually you have to split your class in to two teams for this game, so boys against girls. The boys will be "x", the girls will be 0 or o. Now, all we do is put a word into one of the squares. The boys against girls start to guess which letter goes where until they get the word. They get the word, boys win. They get the x. They then get to choose where they're going to go next. Now, what I love to do with these two games is to actually combine them. This causes more excitement. So what I do is put a word in the box, as usual. Play the same game "x o", but with a difference. Each time either the boys or the girls get a letter wrong, we do a hangman at the side. Now the great thing about this is I get to have some fun, because if I win, if the hangman wins, then I get to take away two points from each team. It drives the kids crazy. So that's two great games and combining them. It's great fun for the class. Thank you."
