"Hi! My name is Melissa Schenk on behalf of expertvillage.com today we’re discussing cruise traveling tips. Let’s discuss dinning room etiquette for a moment. Now we’ve discussed what to wear to the dinning room? A couple of things to keep in mind, in the dinning room when you enter you’re going to be assigned a table some of the tables are for 2, 4, 6 or 8 people, there aren’t very many dinning room tables that accommodate 2 people. But perhaps you might want to talk to your Maitre d' especially right away when you board the ship to get a table for 2. Some people like it in case they’re celebrating a romantic anniversary, an engagement, going on a honeymoon, something along that line a birthday but most times you’re assigned a table assigned with 4, 6, 8 people so you will have table companions. If you ever have any problems with your table companions always once again see your Maitre d' it’s very important. A couple of things other things to keep in mind with the dinning room etiquette is that you will be once again assigned a dinner time or assigned a seat time. You’ll either have the early seating or the late seating, if those times don’t agree with you, you would need to discuss and talk this over with your Maitre d' because you’ll be expected to keep those times. Early seating if you’re assigned that time generally starts for breakfast at 7 o’clock in the morning, lunch is at noon and dinner is at 6, so those are pretty much regular times. A later seating for those if you’re assigned breakfast is normally around 8:30, so it’s about an hour and a half later, lunch is at 1:15 and dinner is at 8:15 in the evening. So if you’re someone who gets up a little later, eats a little bit lunch a little bit later and also likes to have a late dinner, the late seating might be the one for you. "
