" Hi! I’m Stephanie Phillips with expertvillage.com. We’re talking about traveling by train. Alright, if you’re going on Amtrak…You’re going from New York to Philadelphia or you’re going from New York to Florida, the experience can be terrific. Take time to yet actually look out the window. Somebody else has to fill the gas tank, not you. Somebody else has to cook the food, not you, and it’s a nice way to see this country. There are lots of places that you can travel by train, and you can do it in luxury. If you travel by train on the American Orient Express, you can think about the move you are in express and it can have a little sense of that but in your own country. They travel through the Rockies; they travel down to Copper Canyon in Mexico, and you do it with a glass of champagne in your hand and a chef in the kitchen. It is luxury. Now, if you’re going to Europe, you may be going to just use a train to get your from one town to the next. You’re going from Florence to Rome; you’re going from Venice to Milan. Train travel in Europe is extremely efficient. I had a cooks guide several years ago that gave me schedule throughout the entire area of Europe, and to this day the train schedules haven’t changed by more than a minute or two. It’s a very easy way to get around Europe, and you get to see some really terrific towns. Or you can really have the real Orient Express and travel through Europe in luxury. There are some great way to travel by train; through Canada, through the United States, through Europe, other parts of the world. Train travel: a lost art. "
