"Hi! I’m Stephanie Phillips for expertvillage.com we’re going to talk about travel comfort. It use to be that when you got on a plane they provide you with a blanket or a pillow, very often today that’s just not going to be there so the very first thing I do when I’m packing my carryon is to take my own pillow, it’s kind of a spongy thing, looks weird and I don’t care because when I need sleep my head is on this and I’m the envy of the plane trust me and it’s good for even short flights, if you’re talking about 3 hours it’s nice to be able to take a nap, if you’re going internationally it’s an essential piece of equipment. One of the other ways that you can have comfort there’s always noise there’s movies playing, carts going up and down on a plane, even for that matter on a ship, when you’re traveling on a ship you’re on a cruise ship the cabin next door is loud, one of the ways that I make sure I get sleep is I bring my own earplugs you can get them anywhere, mine has a line because I tend to actually loose the earplugs all the sudden their on the pillow this way if, I look weird sleeping but I don’t care it’s comfortable. The other way you travel in comfort is to block out the light either on a plane or in a ship, on a car, on a train, the only thing that will wake you up quicker than the light is maybe a loud noise you already snuffed out the noise with the earplugs, snuff out the light with a blindfold. You have to be comfortable when you travel if you do it makes getting there a little bit easier, if you are on a plane and you’re cramped in the seats take off your shoes, I always take an extra pair of slippers that way or wear socks that way I can go down the isles and I don’t have to worry about my feet feeling uncomfortable. The idea is that you don’t get to your destination exhausted, anything that you can take something small like a blindfold, something that’s going to snuff out the noise, anything that’s going to make you comfortable, the other thing that’s very important is wear loose clothing, loose clothing is comfortable, it can be fashionable, keep it loose, keep it comfortable and I think your trip will be much better no matter how you’re traveling."
