" Hi! I’m Stephanie Phillips with expertvillage.com we’re going to talk about cultures. When you travel you do lots of planning, what bag you’re going to take with you, what are you going to wear, what are you going to pack? The first thing you actually if you’re going to some other part of the world think about the culture, where are you going? Is it going to be a different language? How do you find out about it? Information, there’s lots of ways to do it. Here’s one book on the Virgin Islands it has everything from the variety of Virgin Islands to what people have the best appetite for in food? What kind of clothing? What’s the weather like? What you can be prepared for? Hey take your time and just read a little, next thing is if you’re going to a country where the language is different you don’t have to be fluent in the language but it’s always nice from a cultural stand point to show courtesy, learn a little bit about the language not to mention but it’s extremely helpful. One of the ways you can do this is that you get tapes for your car, you have language you’re driving you stop at a stoplight and you learn how to say “eu e toilet” which means “where’s the bathroom?” only you don’t call it the bathroom in France, see that’s something you wouldn’t know because they’ll send you to some place to take a bath. Most important thing is when you’re traveling and you’re going to some other part of the world, the more you know the better and it’s only common courtesy, if you’re going to somebody else’s culture learn a little bit about it you’ll have a lot more fun."
