"Hi! I’m Stephanie Phillips for expertvillage.com we’re going to talk about passport applications. U.S. passports as of January 2007 if you’re driving in a car or flying in a plane you are going to need a U.S. passport and it’s really easy to get just go initially on the website travel.state.gov if you’re going for passports include the backslash for passports. What you’re going to get up is information on passports to complete an application, what’s great about that is this is about six pages long and this is going to give you all the instructions. If you’re getting a passport you’re going to need your original birth certificate, you’re going to need two photos that you can get at a local Walgreen’s or any drug store they charge about $8, drop the screen behind you you’re going to need your photo ID but it has to be a government issue, if you’re married and your name is different then hopefully the Roosevelt’s they didn’t have it but married with different you’re going to need your marriage license, you’re going to need a divorce decree if you’re divorced, if you’ve been adopted you’ll need adoption papers, those are all things that you’re going to need. What’s going to happen then is you’re going to get complete an application looks just like this, you see the headshot that’s for the photo, you can either complete it online and print it out or you can fill it out yourself with a pen. If you want to know where to go the same website’s going to give you the information, put your zip code right here and this is the information that comes out the local passport offices that you can go visit and submit your application, get a passport today."
