"Before we start our makeup application, you want to make sure you take care of your skin. You always want to prep your skin before makeup. You should preferably do this right after you get out of the shower or right after you wash your face so that your moisturizer kind of soaks into your skin before you start doing your makeup. Lizzie has just cleansed her face with soap and water. You can use makeup remover wipes. Whatever your preference is. Now I'm going to apply an oil-free moisturizer. If your skin is dryer, then you want a moisturizer specifically for dry skin. Maybe a heavier cream. Her skin is pretty normal to combination, so I'm using just a normal everyday oil-free moisturizer with an SPF 15 because that's very important to use an SPF during the day. I'm just applying it all over her face evenly and then down her neck. Don't forget the neck. You really want to blend that in pretty well. You can use your fingers. Just make sure your hands are clean. You don't have to use a brush on your own skin. I love using an eye cream. I don't care how old my model is or how beautiful their skin is, I think eye creams are very important. They just make makeup go nice and smooth. You just want to use an eye cream kind of around the eye area. Not specifically all over the eye, but just around the eye area. Your makeup will go on so much nicer if you have a good eye cream on, especially if you're using concealer and a lot of eye shadow. Then lastly, we want to use a lip conditioner. You should put the lip conditioner on right before you start doing the makeup, because by the time you get to the lips, the conditioner would have seeped all the way into the lips and the lips will be nice Your lipstick will go on nice and smooth. Now we're ready to apply the foundation."
