And don’t try to cheat it by getting a darker color to make it look like you have a tan because it doesn’t work. It just gives you a pancake appearance. on 8/2/2008 Holy crap. Are you self taught? No wait, even people who are self taught have way more common sense than you do. In addition to what others have said, why would you use foundation on only select splotches on your face? You cake it on some areas, and leave other parts bare. No matter how well your foundation matches, there will ALWAYS be a noticeable difference where you didn't apply it. You should apply a thin delicate layer over the entire face and extend a little bit down to the neck. And holy -- you do not have to use so much force when applying foundation. It's not going to look more "flawless" . And rubbing in different directions is not gonna give an illusion of cheek bones or whatever. Just apply it evenly and smoothly. Sheesh.
