"Hi my name is Anton and I’m here on behalf of ExpertVillage.com and today I’m going to be demonstrating basic eye shadow for day. I’m going to be using some prime colors, when you’re using basic eye shadow colors; I find that they depend very strongly on undertone. Now with this particular skin type we have both cool and warm undertones, so I’m using some really neutral eye shadows that have a little bit of both. They have a little bit of that yellowish undertone and at the same time they have a little bit of that reddish undertone as well. So I’m applying a more medium tone color all over the lid, typically I use a medium tone color because as far as placement on the eye I’ll use a medium tone color, a darker color in the crease and I’ll highlight with the lightest color which I will show you. Just basically using a flat eye shadow brush for application and I’m going to use a softer brush that I can blend with and I’m going to use a little bit of a darker color and I’m going to put that right into the crease. Basically you can find it between the eye lid and underneath the eyebrow, it’s that space behind where the eye folds and you just kind of want to blend that color really gently in a soft circular motion and that’s going to give the eyes a little bit more definition. I’m just blending that really softly into the crease of the eye and blending it down a tiny-tiny bit onto the eye lid. And now I’m going to take the lightest color, you want to make sure that you’re getting that excess off your brush so you don’t lay down too much color and I’m applying this immediately under the brow. What this does is it highlights, it brings the eyes forward and it gives you an overall highlight on your eyes. And this is great to balance out your skins undertone as well because when you have that lighter color underneath your eyebrow; it balances out your eye makeup completely. This is a great everyday basic prime look for work, for school, for any kind of day activity. My contact information is adoniststar03@yahoo.com. "

on 8/2/2008 It would be nice if the model would look into the camera after the application so we could actually see how her eyes look, not just her eyelids.

on 8/2/2008 I took Anton's advice and bought some eye makeup brushes and the look was outstanding. Coupled with the eyeliner video my eyes look awesome. One of my New Year's resolutions was to get good at eye makeup to look more polished.
