"I'm Ivan Madar. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. Preventive maintenance is really the heart of good maintenance. So, changing the filters on a heating and a cooling system, changing the light bulb properly, that is this. And if you have a good maintenance person they will develop preventive maintenance system for swimming pools, everything, and if it's done periodically you will have very few repairs and you will save money. The worst management system is to wait until it breaks and then try to fix it, and unfortunately that's how most of the people work because they feel that is the most economical way. It is not. Believe me. After years of managing clubs and spas, it is not the most economical way. The most economical way is to have a really, really good and organized preventive maintenance system and stick with it. Don't just cross your fingers and hope that it's not going to break because it will and it will cost you a lot more money."
