The first thing that all dog owners need to know about and be careful of is leaving their dog in a car on a hot day. The temperature in a car can get very hot, very fast. A human can withstand higher temperatures because we can sweat to cool our body temperature. A dog cools down by panting. The hotter the dog, the heavier the panting.
A dog can die quickly in a hot car because the dog cannot cool down.
Step2
Always be extremely careful when you are anyplace with your dog that may have antifreeze on the ground. It does not take much antifreeze to kill a dog. If you are anyplace where there may be antifreeze I would highly recommend getting your dog out of there.
Step3
Leaving your dog alone outdoors can be dangerous. Dogs can get injured, lost and killed when left on their own outdoors. You also run the risk of your dog tangling with an animal. There is a good chance that your dog could get into a fight with a rabid animal.
Step4
Do not promote aggression in your dog. Some people do this unintentionally. They play with their dogs in a way that the dog starts to develop an aggression problem. When a dog develops an aggression problem it is very difficult to deal with.
