"Ok, we've found that the seat on the chair that we just took off has a crack in it so it has to be re-glued. First to do that, we're going to take the pad off the table. You don't ever want to glue when the pad is on the table because drops of glue will fall on your pad and they get hard and they scratch the furniture so you have to take this off. And also you'll need to keep track of your screws. I use a little pet food can and just keep all your screws in there so that you can find them when you need them. So here we have the seat. As you can see it?s cleanly broken in half and it also has a small crack on this side. I've already put some glue on that before we started and clamped it with one of my clamps to hold it together. The first step is going to be to clean the old glue off the seat. As you can see, this is a slotted seat and this is the tang end in on this side just take a mat knife like this, craft knife, and scrape the junk off."
