"Hi! I am Carl Shepard with expertvillage.com talking about advanced bass techniques. And in this technique I want to show you how to trickle down a Pentatonic scale. I am going to use this Pentatonic scale of A here, so if I am starting at the top of the scale and I want to walk back down and trickle down, then what I need to do is play the first two notes here and then go back and play the second note before I continue on. So it is almost like I am going down and then taking a step back. I take two steps forward, one step back, two steps forward, one step back each way. It is a great technique and you do not have to do any hammer ons or pull offs to do it."
