"Hi! I am Carl Shepard with expertvillage.com talking about different advanced bass techniques and one bass technique that is not used very often is a tapping technique and if you are going to tap on your bass it is probably easiest to do it on your G string or your D string. The thicker your string is the harder it will be. A lot of bass players if they do, it is usually on these strings here. So if you want to do a little bit of slap, you could do the slap here and do the tapping with your right hand. So what it is, is the combination of hammer ons and pull offs and all you have do is use the open string, use your left hand to do the hammer ons and then your right hand to tap."
