"Hi! This is Lady Jules from expertvillage.com and in this lesson I’m going to teach you something called the Charlie rock. This is a dance that was derived from the Charleston from the early 20s. Charleston looking kind of like this and the difference is that you may get a lot more funky, as your feet goes out in out in, in out in, same step same pattern as Charleston but you keep your feet on the ground the whole time and you can make this as funky as you want. You can do whatever you want with your feet as long as you keep that basic pattern stay over yourself a little bit, don’t be afraid to really loosen up to different angles just let your body move around. The looser and the more off balance the better and that is called the Charlie rock. So you are going to keep your left foot forward the right foot steps right in the front and right swings right to the back of the left and the left goes back to the right and then you just repeat that step then you add the feet out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, in, out, in, out, in."
