"Hi, I'm Tom Shean and today on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to install a metal roof. The last full panel course is cut and installed. Vented top row flashing is then cut and installed as wall flashing. In snow climates rich foam should be installed under this flashing. Again, this fastens to the wall a minimum 2 foot on center and down through the tile at a minimum of 18 inches on center. The top edge is formed as a gum edge and then caulked. The barrel holes of the eaves in the continental tile should be closed in to prevent the vermin and inclement weather from entering. Eave foam or metal bird edge is placed along the top of the first batten, extended fascia board or FGW. Carefully align the profiles with the panel which is easily accomplished by laying a reversed panel against the eave batten. Foam closures should temporarily fastened with a galvanized nail every other profile. The closure strip should be set in a bed of caulking for additional protection."
