How Are Diamonds Made?

"Hi, this is Rishabh Jain on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, I'm going to tell you about how are diamonds formed. As you all know that diamonds are being formed under the earth's surface beneath the earth's crust with an amount of air pressure and heat. As we are talking about heat, the only thing that is important is the volcanoes. You will find diamonds under the volcanoes. The rough of the diamond under the volcanoes beneath the earth's crust because it needs the right amount of air pressure and heat. Like here, it's just an example, when the volcano blasts and the lava comes out, the earth's crust is also moving out a good amount of rocks, stones. From here, the diamonds are being formed. The right amount of pressure is being provided to the diamonds here with the heat of this volcano. This helps to bring the pieces of rocks of graphite together which forms a big piece. That is a diamond rough. This volcano blasts and the diamond and the rough of the diamond, they come out. It is very difficult to go there and get those roughs. Because they are so hard for years, they just keep on laying there. Its only the experts who can recognize those roughs of diamonds. Then those pieces of diamonds are being taken to the laboratories and they are being washed with chemicals. So, this is basically how the diamonds are formed. Thank you."
