"Hello everyone, my name is Matt Fuller and this is Denise Bennett, my partner. We are the proud facilitators of the Light and Love Cafe. We are here on behalf of the Expert Village. Next I'd like to add our red pear. I'm going to go ahead and grab the red pear. It's right here. What I do on this one is, I do want to mention that all this fruit we did wash prior to setting it on the table. Some people choose to wash their fruit and some don't, it's a personal preference. Just go with whatever you feel is right for yourself. "When it's organic, right?" Absolutely! If you do choose to use and these fruits are organic by the way. If you do choose to use fruits that are not, definitely wash them because they do have the chemicals and pesticides on them. The red pear, I'm just simply cutting in a very similar fashion that I was the banana. As you can see, I'm just kind of cutting around the core of the pear, trying not to get too close. That's probably enough pear. I'm going to set that to the side and just continue cutting these into what I would call strips. The red pear is a bit sweeter. But for sure the reason that I am using the red pear as opposed to the Bartlett in this particular dish, is that I do love the red appearance of the skin. "Yeah." You know, if you happen to not have one, you can sure as, definitely use a Bartlett or whatever pear you may have in your home or find at the market. So I'm going to try to set these on to the plate, trying to expose some of the red skin, that I talked about, that I enjoy, to get that color. "That's nice." Yeah."
