"Hi! I’m William Myers with Subaru for Expert Village. Now I’m going to show you how to change and check your air filter and it’s real easy you’re just going to remove this one duct piece right here by pulling on it and it’ll come right off it’s real easy. There’s a 10mm bolt on this side that we’re going to remove just put your ratchet on it which is a little of a quarter inch ratchet with a 10mm socket but your 10mm wrench will do the same thing but I want to be a little quick about it. Pop your little clips, you’re going to push back on your air box gently, you’re going to pull it out just like so, pull your air filter out and look at the element. This element’s not that bad besides the feathers on it but we’re going to reuse this element because it’s still clean. Okay now we’re going to reinstall your air box, you have your old air filter or your new air filter in place and you have these four locking lugs that are going to the bottom of the other half of the air filter box. So all you have to do is you’ll take your air filter box slide it down in, gently push back and push down on the bottom and pull up on the back side to make sure those lugs are locked in cause if it’s not locked in you’ll be able to tilt this box way up, if it’s locked in you’ll see the front half of the air filter box move. Pop your clips back in place, put your air duct in remember to put your 10mm bolt back in and tighten it up and this is another one of those bolts and don’t crank down on it a whole lot but make it snug good and tight. There you go that’s how you change your air filter and reinstall your air box."
