"And, now when we put the rotor on -- let's pretend that this brake system is mounted to a bike right now -- our throw is pretty long. So if you want to reduce the throw, you can take the wheel out and cycle a couple times with the rotor, which moves up the stopping point because basically it thinks that your pads are really worn. So now, my lever throw is less, which is something I like. Which brings up a good point. If you accidentally cycle the brake lever too many times without the pads in there and without a rotor, the brake pads will get stuck together, like I just did here. Can you see how there's no space? That's a pain in the butt. And that's one of those things where we use our needle nose pliers to pull out the pads, and then progressively push them back in with our 10mm box-in wrench."
