"I'm going to be teaching you "The Saw" now. The Saw is a multi part exercise. It?s pretty complicated, but it?s a great exercise for flexibility of the thighs, spinal lift and rotation. It kind of wrings out your lungs, wrings out the kidneys, wrings out the digestive track, and keeps your spine long as you're doing all that. To prepare for this exercise: seated firmly on the mat, legs pressing, feet flexed. And the arms are going to be stretched out to your side. To warm up for this exercise, this is enough warm up as it is. So press down into the legs. Again, you?re going to anchor the pelvis into the mat. Inhale and think about lifting taller, up away from your pelvis. And then exhale and twist towards me. But keeping that spine long. Inhale, lift longer; exhale twist away from me and go the other way. Shoulders down your back. Inhale, lift. Longer through the spine, exhale, twist back to me and hold it. Yea! Shoulders down your back, good job! Lift taller and exhale back to center. And release. And that how we set up and warm up for "The Saw"."
