"Gina and I are going to demonstrate how to come into plank pose. So grounding, finding your center, finding your mountain pose, rooting down into the earth as you lengthen up through the crown of the head. We're going to inhale and reach our arms up to the sky and exhale, lengthen right up out of your hips and fold forward. Allowing your spine to lengthen down, allowing your head to hang heavy. We're going to inhale and find a flat back extend, long spine and then we're going to exhale and step our feet back to plank. So in plank you want your feet hip width distance apart. You want your belly button squeezed in to your spine and pubic bone reaching towards your belly button. Your shoulders are right over your wrists and you're lengthening out through the crown of your head so that you're one long line of energy; from the crown of your head, all the way down to your heels. If this doesn't work for you, you can always drop your knees down and come down into half plank. But you want to make sure that your butt is neither up in the air or sagging way down, cutting off that flow of energy. So you want to find that one long line."
