"Combining balance with a spinal twist Gina and I are going to demonstrate the standing balance spinal twist. Now we're going to stand facing each other, not too far apart good. We're just going to take our left knee and turn it slightly out to the side at a little angle and then just lift it up. We can reach out and grab on and get a strong lift. Then reach your other arm back and gently press into your partner's knee, good. So you are lengthening, rooting down into the earth as you reach up, good. Then releasing we are going to come down on the other side. So we are getting a little twist by rotating, good. Then the balance by pressing in to the outside of the knee, lengthening up through the crown of the head and rooting down through the balls of the feet and then releasing."
