Video Transcript

"This is Lauren on behalf of Expert Village and we're talking about the color beige. The first beige showed up in nineteen fifty- five, and at first the breeder didn't think it was something that could be passed on and so he ended up selling it to another breeder who was able to establish that as a color in their herd. A hetero beige chinchilla can vary from light cream to dark beige and they have red eyes, pink ears, white paws and a white stomach. A homo beige chinchilla is very light in color as well. Without the genetic background it can be hard to tell homo beige from hetero beige. But the homo beige has pink eyes with a white iris. A TOV beige chinchilla is a combination of beige and black velvet and if the chinchilla's coat is a deep, deep brown we typically call that a brown velvet chinchilla. Stay with us and we are going to talk about white chinchillas."
