"Hi, I'm Mike Lais. On behalf of Expert Village, today we are going to be talking about getting familiar with the guitar. OK, we have the E chord and the way we're going to do this is you're going to have another kind of punch position like the A, it's very similar to the A, just a slight variation. What we're going to want to do is you have the open E string first off, or the open sixth string, and then you're going to take your ring finger and place it on the second fret of the fifth string, just like so. And then you're going to want to take your middle finger and place that on the second fret of the fourth string, just like so. This one is going to be a little bit higher up on the fret just because you really can't reach all the way down that you want to. That's OK, you're still going to get a good sound when you're just slightly below the halfway point of the fret. Now, after we do that, we're going to want to take the index finger and place that on the first fret of the third string, this right there. Keep in mind my fingers are still pointing down and everything that we talked about before is still in place. So again, we have open E, open sixth, and then we have the second fret of the fifth, second fret of the fourth and first fret of the third. And then to strum this, we're going to want all six strings to ring out because this is a full chord, you have all six strings available, just strum away. And that's your E chord."
