"Hi, I'm Mike Lais. And on behalf of Expert Village, I bring you soloing tips and techniques. Vibrato-this is one musical aspect that a lot of string players use. In fact, they all should use, anywhere from the orchestra up to your garage band that you're playing in. And this will really help your notes sing, just like as a singer would do when they hit that long note that they're holding, and then they start to just kind of wave it around a little bit. You do the same thing with your guitar. And alls I'm going to do is just pluck a string and then do kind of miniature bends, I guess is the best way to describe it. Just back and forth. Just sort of shaking the string. So, here's the note without vibrato. And here's the note with vibrato. This is going to make it sing a little bit more. One more time, we'll give you that. There's without. And when I add a little vibrato. So, when you're ripping up a solo, and you hit that high note, you just kind of let it ring out. And that's vibrato."
