"Hi, I'm Mike Lais, and on behalf of Expert Village, I bring you soloing tips and techniques. The first tip I'm going to talk to you guys about is the slide. And basically what this is, is when you're actually going to take your target note, start a couple of frets below it, and slide up to that note. To give you an example, let's take a target note. You can just pick any note. Let's just say, for example purposes, we're going to start on the fifth fret of the B, or which is an E note. Ok? So, for me to play this with a slide, I'm going to start down on the third fret and I'm going to slide up to it, trying to make it so that this note lands on the beat. So, if I'm going to count, I'm going to go one, two, three, four, one. Ok? It comes just a hair before the beat that you're trying to land on, and then that's where it's going to be. So, one more time. That's one, two, three, four."
