"The 3rd note in the B flat major scale is the note D. Let's look at D on the staff. To play a D on the flute let's look at the fingering chart. We use 2,3, and thumb in the left hand. In the right hand we use 1,2, and 3 here is how D sounds. If you remember from our last note C which just uses 1 and the pinkie switching to D is the exact reverse of the fingerings. So it can be tricky to remember and to make fluent when you are playing together. Let's look at the scale from the beginning we have B flat to C which is a whole step and then C to D which is a half step another whole step excuse me. Let's play again. D is our new note. "
