"SHAUN SCHAEFER: Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village. And today, we're going to learn how to set up a drum kit. So our next step, we're going to set up the ride cymbal stand. Now, this particular stand has two cymbal stands in one, and this is to alleviate the problem of having two stands' bottoms running into each other. So it's just kind of save you some room. So we're going to set up the ride cymbal portion of this stand right now. So you have to loosen these two guys and spread the legs. It's nice to get the thigh in there and try to help do some stuff. Use all your body parts. And then we just want to make sure this is to the bottom but not touching the ground, and you tighten that and tighten this one. So now, we have--our base is set. And then I usually slide this underneath the kick drum. Now, this is the same thing as the other cymbal stand. We want this leg facing in towards the drum kit. Because when we're hitting the cymbals, we don't want this to tip over. So that's in there, nice and sturdy. So let's go ahead and set up the actual ride cymbal portion. I had to loosen some stuff here. And this is just completely eyeballing it and just getting it close for now. Let's go ahead and loosen the head and get the head to where we think it looks good. And then this stand is unique because it actually pops out of itself and then you put in there. Let's tighten. And I'm going to adjust this head a little bit. And there is our ride cymbal stand. It's set up and ready to go."
