"Hi, today we are going to talk about form W-4. The purpose of form W-4 so your employer can withhold the federal income tax from your pay. You would fill this out when you begin a job but you may want to review this once a year especially if your tax situation changes and if you have additional dependents or anything that may effect your withholding. To get started on the form W-4 the first thing we are going to do is type in name, address, and social security number and filing status. So we would begin with line 1 first name and initial. Last name, social security number, home address. Then we would go to 3 and since James Smith is married we would check married, his last name is not different from his social security card so we don't need to do that. So that completes this section of the form."
