"Hi, my name is Cindy Mastry with Yoga Etc. Studio on behalf of Expert Village. This is April and she is gonna help me demonstrate in this clip Ashtava Grasana or the extended side arm balance. She's starting out in Dandasana in seated staff pose lengthening up from the tailbone to the crown of the head and out through the heels. Notice how her toes come back towards her knees. She's gonna bend her right knee and bring it up near her sits bone and take her right elbow underneath. Yes. So that her right leg comes up as high as she can bring it up on her shoulder. Good. Or right below her shoulder. There you go. Good. So she's gonna bring her hands down and press her fingers wide, notice how she widens out her fingers for a nice grip and a strong stance. And she's gonna take her left leg and she's gonna cross the ankle. Good. She's gonna squeeze through her ankles and she's gonna lift herself up and forward engaging her core so it comes through the core. And then she's gonna extend her legs out up to the side. Beautiful! Good, and then she's gonna lower down. Good. And then she's gonna come out of that whenever she's ready. Good. Back to her Dandasana. And that was Ashtava Grasana."
