"Line "10", this is the tax that we determine from line "6", which is your taxable income. To determine your tax, you have to go to your tax table on pages 18 - 26 and determine the proper tax from that tax table. To use the tax tables, you'll notice that they're structured in increments of income where it says "your income must be at least this, but less than this", and then for each bracket, it will tell you your tax if you are filing single or married filing jointly. The first thing you need to do is to find the right income and tax for your situation. For example, if your income is $43,645, you would look to the $43,000 column and then go down to $43,640 which is between $43,600 and $43,650."
