Types of Cameras for Video Blogs

"One of the cameras that I use for video blogging and video pod casting is this old Cannon SD-400. I brought this a couple years ago, and this is great for video blogging. It shoots video at 640 by 480 or 320 by 240. You are probably better off shooting at 640 by 480, it's a lot better quality it's up to you. The larger the file the less you will get on the SD card. I just happen to have a two gig SD card in this, and that's separate. You can usually get these one gig or two gig. I can control this via remote and shoot this way and I can record into my, directly into my computer too. There is different ways of video blogging, which most of the time I am, you're better off with the little pocket camera. Put this in your pocket then you can record life while it happens and when it happens. The other camera, the three chip camera is a little bulker and it's bigger to carry around and who wants to carry around all that equipment. Also you can use wireless microphones. I brought these many, many moons ago. Here I have a Sampson MR1. Its a transceiver and a wireless mic. And this goes to the camera, there is an antenna that connects to this part. And this part goes, you usually see on television they'll have it sticking out of a back pocket but, the little microphone that clips on to your lapel and then this goes in your back pocket. The range is pretty good on this, the newer ones are a lot better than these. And here is the antenna that I was just mentioning. Basically just screws into the top like that and then this connects to your camera, you have a wireless microphone. So you can get very creative or spend a lot of money or just use a $20 camera like this to video blog. It's very simple, it's up to you."
