" Hi! I am Dr. Adrienne Mulligan and I am the owner of Camp Verde Veterinary Clinic and I am here today on behalf of expertvillage.com to talk to you about cat first aid and administration of medications. If you have had your cat diagnosed with an eye problem and you are instructed to put eye drops in your cat’s eyes, it can help again to have second set of hands, but if you are alone using that scruff again is really, really helpful and I actually because I am right-handed and it is easier to put the ointment or the drops in the eyes prefer to scruff them this way and then I put my hand under the chin and I open the eye and I drop an eyedrop in and then on this side I open the eye with this hand and can’t really see and drop an eye drop in. So it really helps to have two people doing that but scruffing helps and usually it helps if you comfort your kitty afterwards and pat on them and they do not mind so much."
