on 9/20/2008 Hey, really great tip Allen! I'd love to see more dating advise for normal people as opposed to acting like somebody I'm not!

"Hey everyone. My name is Allen, co-founder of askromeo.com and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you how to meet a woman at a supermarket. How to have confidence. There's a couple of things you want to keep in mind when you are being confident or confidently approaching somebody else. The first and most important is your body language. You want to make sure that you have an open stance or an open posture. So your legs should be a little bit further than a shoulder width apart and you should be open in a comfortable stance. You don't want to have your arms crossed, you want to keep them out, open at your sides. You can tuck your thumbs into your pockets, but you want to make sure the majority of your hands are visible. Your shoulders should be rolled back, sticking out your chest a little bit, and your chin should be up, exposing your throat just a little bit. Confident body language will not only make you appear confident to the other person that you are talking to but more importantly it will actually make you feel confident as the body reinforces itself. Second thing you want to worry about is your voice intonation. You want a low steady tone and steady pace, rather than a high pitched and fast pace. The last piece is when you are talking to them you don't want to take anything personal. You want to act like you're talking to your friend, just chatting to your mom or dad or somebody that you've known for years. There's nothing special, there's nothing important about the situation and as a matter of fact you probably do this all the time because you are the type of person that talks to the people that they want to talk to. And that is how to be confident."
