"Hi everyone, I'm DJ Shy and this is Expert Village. I am trying to teach you how to do some basic scratches and the next scratch that I'm going to teach is the Stab and stab sounds like this. Okay this is my basic scratch that I'm going to use. Right now I'm doing a baby scratch which is going back and forth. What a stab is, is that your using your crossfader to make one stabbing noise and then you want to pull the crossfader back so you don't get that back sounds, and that's a stab. Let me do that again in slow motion. You want to have your crossfader out, put your crossfader back so you don't get that back noise and keep, so you don't, that is pretty much. Sometimes it can go faster and you would also want to practice on your left hand as well. They say that if your right handed you want to put your right hand on the crossfader and if you're left-handed, your left hand goes on the crossfader. I'm right handed, so I would have my right hand on the crossfader and this is a stab."
