"DREW NOAH: So, now, I'm going to show you how to create playlists and how to create folders to put those playlists in. So, you can see down here, this is my 'Playlists' section right here. You can show it or choose to show it or not to show it by toggling this arrow. And just--a playlist is just a--I mean, it's just a playlist like I--these are specific songs that I dragged into this playlist because this is my rock playlist. So, I chose all the stuff I wanted in there that I thought--I think is rock and I put it in there. And to create a new playlist, all you do is go to 'File'', 'New Playlist'. And you can see it's untitled but I can title it whatever I want. Okay. So, for this playlist, I'm just going to add all the songs from The Decemberists. So, to add something in my playlist, you can see there's nothing in there right now because this is what I'm selected on. We'll go to Music and then just like I showed you, I'll start searching for The Decemberists. I don't even need to search any further than that. I'll just quickly select it. So, select what I want to put in there. I could also command select or control select on PC to select individual items, but I just "Shift+clicked" to select all of these and I just dragged them into Decemberists and there they are, voila. So, that's pretty easy and I mean, one thing that I've done with my playlist is I've sorted out the genres of music that I listen to and just put them all--put all that music in that playlist. Of course, I'll talk more about this later. But also, if you want to make like a mix CD what you would do is just start throwing those in a playlist; throwing all the songs that you want into this playlist and then you can burn the disc which--I'm going to show you how to do that later. That's how you just make a regular, old playlist and if in your playlist--if you want to delete so--maybe I'm going to delete this one album from my Decemberists playlist. I just select what I want to delete and I can right click it and then hit Delete. And it's going to remove the selected songs from the list. It doesn't delete them from my music library. It only removes them from the list so don't be scared of that. If you're deleting from your music library--"These songs will be removed from any iPod which synchronizes with your iTunes library" and you're removing them completely from your library. So, be careful if you're deleting from your library. But don't really worry about deleting from your playlist because the songs will remain in your music library. So, to organize your playlist, you can make folders, and you can just do 'File', 'New Folder' and there you go. Yeah, okay. And then you can just drag playlists into your folder and you can toggle this on and off just like that. So, that's how you organize your playlist. I'll just quickly--one other way you can make a playlist, it's pretty much the same thing. Let me show you command clicking. Click all these, one way to make a--if I wanted to add these to a playlist, I could simply drag them over or I could do right click at the playlist and select one like that. And it's the exact same thing; dragging or right clicking into the playlist is the same thing. If I want to put these selected songs into a new playlist, I can do 'New Playlist' from 'Selection' and that is if I don't want to put these in--I believe these already exist. I want to put them in a new one without having to make a new playlist, then select them, then drag them in. I could just select them and do 'File', 'New Playlist'. So, that's how you create a playlist and a folder. In the next clip, I'll show what the smart playlist is."
