How to Use iTunes Universities Feature

"DREW NOAH: So, now, I'm going to talk about another really cool thing in the iTunes store and that is called iTunes U. So, I'm in the iTunes store and under this iTunes store header, I got the 'iTunes U' link. And basically what this is, is iTunes is partnered with a bunch of universities and are getting recordings of lectures from college professors. That's essentially what it is. There's a little bit of variation in there and it might be some other things, not necessarily a lecture but maybe something else but essentially, that's what it is and it's basically like--all like, educational podcasts. I think it's a good way to think of it. But this is just another really cool free thing on iTunes especially if you are into maybe doing a little bit of learning on you iPod while you workout or something like that. Also, if you're a student, there's a chance that your university might be included in this list right here. This is all the universities they offer right now and this could change, they probably could add more. So, you see up here, you have your featured item and since right now, it's around Martin Luther King day so we've got all these right here and you got some other stuff down here, just featured links. Probably a good place to start in here is maybe a noteworthy kind of a--or 'Top Downloads', somewhere on the front page. But we'll just go and look at one of these. It's a lot like a podcast. You see, the way it looks down here, you got like your name and your time and you can see they're pretty long just like a--maybe a lecture, your artist which is your speaker, the album and you can see this is the actual class it came from, from Berkeley. And then you can see they're all free and you can get as many of them as you want. And you can see up here, they actually go by semesters as well. And you got your description and everything. So, that's just a really cool way to get some lectures and you can use iTunes and your iPod to actually learn some things and probably another good way to--if you know what you're searching for would be just search iTunes up here.
